If you're looking to join a dedicated team, Amazon's Sortation Center is seeking Warehouse Material Handler. As a Warehouse Material Handler, you'll be part of a critical group responsible for the first step in the warehouse-to-delivery process. The job involves working in a physically challenging, fast-paced setting, where you'll be scanning, sorting, and organizing packages onto pallets to prepare customer orders for dispatch. With the majority of shifts being part-time, you'll have more control over your availability.

Duties & Responsibilities:

What It's Like at an Amazon Sortation Center:

  • Surroundings: You will be working in an environment that has various types of machinery, like order pickers, mobile carts, stand-up forklifts, and turret trucks.
  • Activity: Some activities may necessitate staying in a single spot for extended periods of time, moving around, or ascending flights of stairs.
  • Temperature: Temperatures can differ widely from 60°F to 90°F, with soaring temperatures sometimes observed above 90°F in specific areas during the hottest days.
  • Noise level: The high noise levels call for the use of hearing protection to counter noise pollution.
  • Dress code: Ease and Safety Combined - Employees have the flexibility to dress down in Amazon's work atmosphere; however, they must follow safety procedures regarding footwear. Staff must wear comfortable, enclosed shoes, with some work units requiring protective footwear. Employees can use a $110 Zappos voucher provided by Amazon to purchase the needed safety shoes.
