Independent judgment is vital when assisting customers, as well as the initiative to learn and provide assistance within the framework of established administrative principles, policies, practices, and regulations. Exercising significant tact and courtesy when interacting with applicants and the public is essential in this position. Depending on the assigned area, this position may be required to process payments by cash, check or credit card by following established payment handling procedures. Works under the general direction of the immediate supervisor.</p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt; margin-top: 0"><li style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">Performs a variety of complex clerical and administrative tasks including operating general office equipment such as computers & associated peripherals, copy machines, scanners, and voice recording equipment. </span></li><li style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">Ability to maintain and update logs, files, and records with a high degree of accuracy.  </span></li><li style="margin: 0; text-align: justify"><span style="color: inherit">Ability to prepare correspondence and reports.</span></li><li style="margin: 0; text-align: justify"><span style="color: inherit">Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.</span></li><li style="margin: 0;
