- Greeting and welcoming members as they enter the store
- Assisting members with retrieving and loading their carts
- Maintaining a clean and organized cart storage area
- Ensuring all carts are in good working condition and safe for use
- Providing exceptional customer service by answering questions and addressing any concerns
- Communicating with team members and management to ensure a positive and efficient shopping experience for members
- Familiarizing oneself with store layout and product locations to assist members with finding items
- Following company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for members and employees
- Proactively identifying and addressing potential safety hazards, such as spills or obstacles in the store
- Communicating with management regarding any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs
- Assisting with other tasks as needed, such as bagging items or directing members to the checkout lanes
- Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards both members and fellow team members
- Adhering to work schedules and being punctual for shifts
- Maintaining a clean and tidy appearance, including a clean uniform and proper hygiene
- Continuously seeking ways to improve the overall member shopping experience.
Job Qualifications
- Excellent Customer Service Skills: A Member Assist Cart Attendant Must Have Strong Interpersonal Skills And Be Able To Provide Friendly And Efficient Service To Club Members. This Includes Assisting With Loading And Unloading Items, Answering Questions, And Resolving Any Issues Or Concerns.
- Physical Stamina And Strength: This Role Requires A Significant Amount Of Physical Activity, Including Pushing And Pulling Heavy Carts, Standing For Long Periods Of Time, And Lifting And Carrying Items. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Job.
- Attention To Detail: As A Member Assist Cart Attendant, It Is Important To Pay Close Attention To Detail And Ensure That The Parking Lot And Cart Corrals Are Kept Clean And Organized. This Includes Regularly Collecting And Organizing Carts, As Well As Monitoring And Reporting Any Maintenance Or Safety Issues.
- Teamwork And Collaboration: This Role Involves Working Closely With Other Team Members, Including Other Cart Attendants And Store Associates. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment And Communicate Effectively With Others.
- Strong Work Ethic: A Member Assist Cart Attendant Must Be Reliable, Punctual, And Dedicated To Providing Excellent Service To Club Members. This Includes Being Able To Work Independently And Take Initiative To Complete Tasks Efficiently And Effectively.
