Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
- Maintain test cell data acquisition system through routine software maintenance/improvements and database management
- Provide engineering support to troubleshoot engine test arisings
- Work with engineering team members to provide engine work scope feedback based on engine test results
- Maintain engine test cell correlations through trend monitoring
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications):
- Bachelor‘s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science minimum 3 years aviation related experience, or graduate level education in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Should have excellent written and verbal communications skills; able to handle several projects simultaneously with minimum supervision; task-oriented with attention to detail, well organized and able to prioritize work to meet established deadlines; and able to coordinate workflow to multiple disciplines.
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritizations skills.
- Experience with engine testing operations, specifically related to engine test cell data acquisition system software/hardware is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to interact and collaborate at all levels, cross-divisional working groups, and outside entities.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Industry experience credited for a Master’s degree, in the listed disciplines
- Industry experience credited for a PHD in the listed disciplines
- Experience with SAFRAN Test Cells data acquisition software CERES/CYRES, or equivalent
- Experience with aircraft engine testing and gas path analysis
- Experience with the repair or design of gas turbine or turbofan engines
- Experience with data analytics software packages such as R or Python and/or gas turbine simulation software such as NPSS
- Previous Airline, OEM or MRO experience with commercial aircraft engines
- Familiarity with airline flight operations and support systems
- Six Sigma (GB/BB) concepts
