Overview

Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables real-time answers across data at scale. We are looking for a Principal Information Security Architect to join the Information Security (InfoSec) team. The InfoSec team leads strategy, policy, and programs for information security company-wide, including risk management, customer trust, security controls, threat prevention/detection, and incident response. This is a globally distributed, fully remote, highly async role focused on achieving critical information security objectives.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Evolve and mature Elastics Information Security programs by defining, developing, and implementing modern security solutions.
  • Deliver security services built on a modern InfoSec Architecture, powered by data, automation, and metrics.
  • Own and drive projects and maturity initiatives end-to-end to continuously improve the Elastic control environment.
  • Extensively use Elastic products to support the InfoSec mission, providing customer-zero feedback and improvement requests to product teams.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience as a Senior Security Architect or Engineer in a global, multi-cloud environment.
  • Broad knowledge of cybersecurity and networking fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of modern cloud security principles and tooling (e.g., SIEM, Cloud Security Posture Management, SaaS Data Loss Prevention, Cloud Identity & Access Management).
  • Ability to drive projects from ideation to implementation, lead vendor relationships, and influence internal teams for adoption.
  • Experience planning, building, and operating security solutions as part of an automated security architecture, possibly with AI.
  • Passion for engineering security solutions using cloud-native technologies and practices like Infrastructure-as-Code and Compliance-as-Code.
  • Bonus: production usage of Elastic products at scale.
  • Double bonus: experience in a growing SaaS company.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation is base salary with no variable component. Typical starting salary ranges are listed below and may vary by location. In select locations, alternate ranges may apply. An employees position within the range is based on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs.

  • Typical starting salary range: $159,800 $252,800 USD
  • In select locations (Seattle, WA; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco Bay Area, CA; New York City Metro Area): $191,900 $303,500 USD
