About the position

Responsibilities

  • Clean assigned areas as directed by management and in compliance with the Company's 'green' initiatives.
  • Change linens and make beds.
  • Clean, organize, and wash dishes and all appliances in the kitchen area.
  • Dust and clean all furniture, picture frames, mirrors, windows, baseboards, carpet edges, and door panels.
  • Pull trash from receptacles and replace trash bags as needed.
  • Clear trash from tables and floors/grounds.
  • Clean and vacuum under beds, desks, and behind nightstands.
  • Check and replace all missing items in rooms, including soaps, shampoos, and brochures.
  • Check and replace all missing safety items such as pfds and boat hooks.
  • Assist with refueling gas tanks and pump-outs of holding tanks.
  • Assist with refilling of water holding tanks.
  • Clean and ensure showers, sinks, toilets, and soap dishes are free of mold and dust.
  • Sweep and mop all floors.
  • Dust all lights and sconces, make-up mirrors, and lampshades.
  • Perform laundry duties as assigned.
  • Notify Supervisor of all quality control issues or needed repairs.
  • Operate 'chase boat' to retrieve guests and captains from houseboats.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
  • Strong sanitation habits and ability to follow safety precautions.
  • Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate problems to management.
  • Ability to operate a motor boat or willingness to learn.
