Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home health environments. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of those you serve. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
  • Provide care for patients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other developmental disabilities.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medication documentation.
  • Utilize Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices to safely transfer patients.
  • Maintain cleanliness in patient areas, including laundry and general housekeeping tasks.
  • Support hospice care initiatives by providing compassionate end-of-life care.
  • Engage in patient observation to identify any changes in condition or behavior.
  • Uphold HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of patient information.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience in nursing homes or long-term care settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems for accurate medical documentation.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to patient care.
  • Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
  • Background in home health or community care settings is beneficial.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
