We are seeking a dedicated Line/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. Experience is not a must. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the kitchen by preparing ingredients, assisting with menu planning, and ensuring that food safety standards are met. This position is essential for maintaining the efficiency of our kitchen operations and delivering high-quality dishes to our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and chop ingredients such as vegetables, meats, and herbs for cooking.
  • Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety protocols.
  • Handle food items according to safety guidelines to prevent contamination.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other food preparation tools.
  • Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring that all food items meet quality standards.
  • Support the dietary department by preparing specialized meals according to dietary restrictions.
  • Create a pleasant service environment by collaborating with all taqueria staff to ensure our customers leave satisfied and happy.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience is not a must, we'll teach you.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new techniques.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
