Job Description

Welcome to General Dynamics, a leading global aerospace and defense company. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Security Support Specialist to join our team and help ensure the safety and security of our organization. In this role, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our security protocols and procedures. We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive individual with a strong understanding of security principles and experience in implementing and maintaining security measures.

  1. Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the organization's assets.
  2. Monitor and analyze security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
  3. Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and make recommendations for improvement.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security policies and procedures.
  5. Train and educate employees on security protocols and procedures to ensure compliance.
  6. Investigate and report any security incidents or breaches, and recommend corrective actions.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in security management to continuously improve the organization's security measures.
  8. Maintain and update security records and documentation.
  9. Coordinate with external security agencies and law enforcement as needed.
  10. Serve as a point of contact for security-related inquiries and concerns from employees and external stakeholders.
  11. Conduct background checks and security screenings for new hires and contractors.
  12. Continuously assess and improve the organization's emergency response plans and procedures.
  13. Monitor and manage security budget and expenses.
  14. Participate in security-related projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
  15. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information.

Job Qualifications

  • Communication Skills: The Role Of A Security Support Specialist Requires Regular Communication With Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders. Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills Are Essential For Effectively Conveying Complex Information And Facilitating Collaboration.
  • Attention To Detail: In The Field Of Cybersecurity, Even Small Oversights Can Lead To Major Breaches. A Qualified Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Identify Potential Vulnerabilities And Risks In Systems And Processes.
  • Industry Certifications: Preferred Qualifications For This Role May Include Industry Certifications Such As Certified Information Systems Security Professional (Cissp), Certified Information Security Manager (Cism), Or Certified Ethical Hacker (Ceh). These Certifications Demonstrate A High Level Of Expertise And Commitment To The Field Of Cybersecurity.
