Part-Time Remote Medical Biller (Mental Health) – Fonx Solutions id-9843
Overview
Fonx Solutions is a growing managed service firm that provides expert administrative, billing, and operational support to healthcare practices. We specialize in helping mental health providers streamline their revenue cycle management, ensuring they get paid efficiently and accurately.
We’re looking for a part-time medical biller with experience in mental health billing to join our team! If you have strong billing expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to claims follow-up, we’d love to hear from you.
Duties
- Process insurance claims and ensure timely submissions
- Follow up on unpaid claims and work denials to resolution
- Generate and send invoices and superbills to clients
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed
- Maintain accurate records of claims, payments, and outstanding balances
- Communicate with providers and patients regarding billing inquiries
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and insurance policies.

Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures.

Requirements
- 2-3 years of medical billing experience, specifically in mental health
- Strong understanding of insurance claims processing, CPT codes for mental health services, and EOBs
- Experience with claim denials, resubmissions, and working aging reports
- Familiarity with mental health billing software (e.g., IntakeQ, SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, AdvancedMD, or similar)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with providers and payers
