About the position
As an Amazon Sortation Center Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team responsible for the initial phase of the delivery process. This fast-paced role takes place in a sortation center where you will engage in various physical tasks, including sorting, scanning, and stacking packages on pallets.
Your efforts will directly contribute to preparing customer orders for timely delivery. The position offers flexibility, allowing you to choose shifts that best fit your schedule, with the option to adjust your hours as needed in the future. In this role, you will be expected to receive and sort inventory, ensuring that customer orders are ready for dispatch. You will utilize technology such as scanners, computers, and handheld printers to facilitate these tasks.
Physical demands include lifting up to 49 pounds and performing various movements such as standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching throughout your shifts. Depending on the specific location, you may also need to navigate stairs and work at heights of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine. Safety is a top priority at Amazon, and you will be provided with protective gear and daily safety tips to ensure a secure working environment.
