About the position

The Senior Manager, SAP Finance Team Lead at YETI is a pivotal role responsible for leading mission-critical program and project initiatives within the Finance Systems and Integrations domain. This position requires a subject matter expert who will oversee a team of internal and external FICO resources, ensuring effective collaboration with other SAP teams, including SD and MM/PP, as well as technology and finance business teams. The goal is to deliver robust functionality in a timely manner, enhancing the overall efficiency of finance operations. As part of the Enterprise Systems team, which is undergoing a multi-year evolution towards a team-of-teams structure, the Senior Manager will play a crucial role in establishing an enterprise architecture practice.

This role is expected to evolve into a Solution Architect position in the future, making knowledge and experience in enterprise architecture highly advantageous. The position is hybrid, requiring the individual to be located in Austin, Texas, and involves both onsite and remote work. The Senior Manager will be responsible for team management, project oversight, and program execution. This includes coaching and mentoring team members, collaborating across teams to improve internal practices, and supporting the development of workforce plans to optimize team capabilities. The role also involves identifying areas for improvement, gathering requirements from business and technology stakeholders, and leading the design and quality assurance of finance ES applications, primarily utilizing SAP as the core capability. The individual will ensure that all finance master data is accurately maintained and will provide support for troubleshooting and incident resolution as needed.

Responsibilities

Oversee and direct the work efforts of the Finance team members, consisting of both internal and external resources.
Coach and mentor each team member in developing their skills and experience; support and guide team members along a career track to continuously improve performance.
Collaborate across the ES team to improve internal teaming, ways of working, and practices that help develop a high-performing team.
Support the ES Lead in developing workforce plans that optimize the ES team capabilities and capacity to deliver to business needs.
Identify and prioritize issues or areas for improvement, share findings with other teams and leaders, create action plans, and gain support to execute improvements with the technology group.
Work with the Architects Team to gather requirements and opportunities from the business and technology capabilities, facilitating workshops with multiple stakeholders to formulate Solution Models.
Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide solution architecture artifacts to align with YETI enterprise architecture principles.
Develop work scope and request for proposal documentation to enable and incorporate Technology partners.
Lead the design of finance ES applications, with SAP as the core capability.
Create all plan and design documentation and support the development of testing and support documentation.
Oversee and quality assure the configuration of all approved ES applications and collaborate with technical and integration subject matter experts.
Oversee and quality assure all finance master data in collaboration with the ES master data lead.
Provide full support to the ES Support team for troubleshooting, incident resolution, enhancements, maintenance, and upgrades.

Requirements

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a mandatory requirement.
Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is highly desirable.
Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) is beneficial.
At least 8 years of hands-on experience working with Enterprise System technologies and specifically SAP technologies within Finance in an enterprise environment.
At least 4 years of team leadership experience, managing both internal and external resources.
Familiarity and expertise with existing/future SAP tech stack/platforms, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Finance (General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, Consolidation).
Knowledge of connected capabilities, especially Vertex (Tax), Workflow, SAP Payment Gateway, PoS, and international rollouts.
Knowledge of cross-functional processes, especially Lead to Cash and Supply Chain.
Knowledge of Integrated Business Planning and Advanced Available to Promise (AATP) is desirable.
Proven track record of evolving an SAP landscape to deliver global business results.
Hands-on experience with building end-to-end business process solutions leveraging SAP technology and applications.
Experience with cloud-native solutions and architectures as well as cloud security principles.
Strong customer-facing experience with the ability to communicate to technical and non-technical leaders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage/leverage 3rd parties to deliver on commitments/strategies.
Ability to collaborate and team build across entities to achieve results.
High energy level and flexibility to meet a variety of demands while producing superior work products at an accelerated pace.
A proven track record of success in a functional role supporting Sales & Distribution and Logistics Execution areas.
A drive for improvement and an inclination to thoughtfully challenge the status quo.

Nice-to-haves

Experience with cloud-native solutions and architectures as well as cloud security principles.
Knowledge of Integrated Business Planning and Advanced Available to Promise (AATP) is desirable.
