Security Operations Analyst, AFX id-12295
About the position
The Security Operations Analyst role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) focuses on enhancing security measures for sales and marketing teams, particularly in managing access controls within the Salesforce platform. This position is integral to building scalable tools and mechanisms that improve data access security, ensuring that users have appropriate access while mitigating vulnerabilities. The role involves collaboration with various teams to define requirements, develop technical solutions, and automate processes, all aimed at improving the security posture of AWS systems.
Responsibilities
- Extracting, processing, and filtering data to present insights in narrative form around large data sets to create changes in security posture.
- Help develop technical solutions and new security tools to mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks through creation of Product Requirement Documents.
- Help configure and troubleshoot security controls in internal AWS tools especially Salesforce.
- Researching root causes of issues, to identify process breakdowns and provide insight on potential solutions.
- Assist with research and testing of additional security processes and products.
- Define the future of access controls from policy and technical lenses.

Requirements
- 4+ years relevant experience in support engineering, technical product or program management, data analysis, or security operations role.
- Experience scripting in modern programming languages.
- Experience with Salesforce or JIRA.
- Ability to extract and manipulate data from databases and data warehouses with SQL.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in a support engineer, technical product or program manager, security operations analyst, or data analyst role.
- 4+ years of experience in creating detailed Business Requirement Documentation while working with Engineering teams.
- Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for Salesforce such as Salesforce automation.
- Experience with vulnerability risk and impact assessment.
