Key Responsibilities
- Execute precise medical chart abstractions, ensuring accurate data transfer from electronic medical records to our electronic data capture systems.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on both your own work and that of colleagues to guarantee reliability and consistency in data management.
- Engage in quality testing initiatives, including inter-rater reliability evaluations, while adhering to timelines.
- Uphold HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards, ensuring the security of sensitive information.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental objectives and maintain effective workflows.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in navigating Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Strong command of computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, along with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Capability to multitask and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in data analysis is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Registered Nurse (RN) certification with a focus on oncology.
- Previous experience in chart abstractions, particularly within oncology settings. Experience in academic or research environments is a plus.
- High-speed internet access is required for remote work.
