Remote Medical Billing Specialist
Qualifications:
All potential candidates must have strong communication, organizational and analytical skills. Working knowledge and experience in analyzing medical claims. Strong knowledge of EMR software, medical billing applications, CPT codes, ICD-10, and insurance web portals and OON experience. Experience in writing and submitting claim appeals with insurance companies including OON appeals. Experience with Podiatry and Ortho Billing a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Manage claim submission process end-to-end through submission, response, and final payment
- Understand and communicate insurance billing & patient responsibility (in/out of network, deductibles, copays, co-insurance, out of pocket max) internally and to clients
- Denial Management
- Prepare and submit claim appeals with insurance companies
- Follow-up with payers to ensure timely resolution of all outstanding claims, via phone, emails, fax, or websites
- Perform special projects and other duties as needed. Assists with special projects by utilizing excel spreadsheets, and the ability to communicate results
Schedule:
- 8-hour day shift
- Monday to Friday
