About the position
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a dedicated and skilled per diem Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for a nursing position in Dallas, Texas. This role is designed for healthcare professionals who are passionate about providing exceptional care to pediatric patients in critical conditions. The position offers a flexible schedule with 12-hour shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and on-call options, allowing for a work-life balance that suits your needs.
As a per diem nurse, you will have the opportunity to work on a contract basis, with options for blocked booking where available. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of acute care experience in a hospital setting, specifically within the PICU specialty. Appropriate certifications are required for this position, ensuring that our nurses are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care. The role includes a commitment of 36 hours per week, with an expectation of working every other weekend. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance nursing skills.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of acute care experience in a hospital setting within the PICU specialty.
- Appropriate certifications as required for the specific position.
- Commitment to work 36 hours per week, including every other weekend.
