Overview
Graham Packaging Company is adding a People and Culture Manager to its team to lead a program to improve retention, morale, employee engagement and motivation amongst its global employee base. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for people who has experience developing and implementing programs to make a true impact on our Company strategic initiative to Develop and Engage Employees and join a dynamic HR Team in creating a better tomorrow.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the organization in the area of employee engagement and organizational culture. Development of an overall employee engagement strategy and mobilizing targeted and impactful solutions.
- Lead the communication strategy in regards to employee experience; review and provide suggestions to content to ensure appropriate tone and strategy are reflected to raise awareness of initiatives and accomplishments
- Manage the employee feedback experience and help drive prioritization of the most critical areas of feedback.
- Lead the employee engagement survey process, manage the distribution, communication and analysis of results, conduct employee round table sessions with employees, partner with business leaders and the broad HR Team to develop impactful action plans.
- Recommends innovative ways to leverage communication tools and vehicles to communicate all associated aspects of global employee experience including; aspirations, needs and actions, and experiences.
- Implement a variety of engagement activities, events, and approaches across the organization.
- Develop and maintain reports on employee engagement and organizational culture activities as well as create a repository for materials and best practices
- Evaluate the results and impact of engagement activities and support provided.
- Understands what others externally in the market are doing to effectively drive engagement and connect with them to potentially create an external movement. Keep up with resources and new developments in employee engagement.
- Assist with creating and implementing other Talent Management practices and processes including DE&I, performance management and employee development initiatives.
- Participate in special projects as assigned in a broad range of areas, as business needs arise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 5 years of progressive Human Resources, People Operations, people partnering or other relevant experience
- Creative, energetic, motivated and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation
- A true passion to succeed and get new initiatives off the ground
- Team player with a sense of ownership and "get things done" attitude
- Able to work at a high level of autonomy to manage multiple ongoing issues and complex employee matters with minimum supervision
- Demonstrated understanding of HR Business Partner/People Partner practices including organization design, talent strategy, performance management, change management, and executive relationship building
- Organized with attention to detail and ability to make timely, effective, principle-based decisions
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal) and exemplary customer service skills; articulate and persuasive communicator
- A track record of providing HR/People advice and solutions to senior leaders on employee and organizational issues
- Values and respects confidentiality
- Ability to build partnerships and establish rapport and credibility at all levels
- Comfort with working in both the office and out in the field
- Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets, utilize metrics, and make data driven recommendations or decisions to resolve issues.
- Experience in developing and implementing change management initiatives and communications planning.
The standard compensation for this role is $109,500 - $129,400. Salary offers will be determined based on final candidate qualifications, experience, skillset, and other relevant factors.
Compensation Statement
The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in the company’s 401K Employee Saving Plan and may participate in its Employee Wellness Program. Employees will also receive paid time off in accordance with company policy and state law requirements.
