Job Summary:
The Compliance Officer will be responsible for developing, managing and monitoring compliance policies and procedures to ensure the company’s operations align with legal and regulatory requirements. This individual will play a critical role in risk management, policy enforcement, and corporate governance.

Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance and Monitoring
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure the organization stays compliant with the laws and regulations
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, ensuring timely reporting and resolution of compliance matters
Program Review and Development
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs, policies, and procedures
- Analyze new and changing laws and regulations that impact the company’s business and advise senior management accordingly
- Review compliance risk assessments and determine if current processes control risk
Training and Internal Education
- Drafting and maintaining employee training for compliance
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related policies and best practices
- Ensure all staff understand and comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
Compliance Reporting and Documentation
- Create, maintain, and update reporting of compliance tests and risk assessments
- Prepare reports to the executive leadership on compliance status
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 5+ years of regulatory compliance experience, including at least one year of experience as a senior compliance officer at a mid-to-large size company (100+ employees).
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements related to imports, customs, and FinCEN. Fashion industry experience preferred.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Experience communicating and interacting with regulatory agencies and regulatory affairs
- Experience in conducting training sessions and developing compliance frameworks
- Proficiency in English, bilingual proficiency in Korean preferred (written and verbal)
- Certified Compliance Professional or other compliance related certification
