About the position
The Regional Design Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the plant design departments by providing leadership to Design Managers within the region. This position is responsible for ensuring that design standards are established, implemented, and maintained, while also assisting with all design-related needs for the company. The role involves coordinating design efforts, training, and fostering positive relationships among team members.
Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and maintain regional Design Standards.
- Ensure company standards are met and sustained.
- Coordinate plant design needs and recruitment with the Regional and Area Managers.
- Responsible for regional design training and development.
- Provide professional leadership and guidance to the Design Managers.
- Conduct a weekly Design Managers call and monthly Designer update call.
- Promote and maintain positive relationships with Design Managers and Designers through personal interaction.
- Assist and support the design efforts in ensuring accuracy, productivity, optimization, and oversight.
- Ensure continuous improvement on the utilization and maximization of the Design software.
- Act as a Vendor Liaison to ensure maximum productivity from software and designer implementation.

Requirements
- Components design experience plus managerial experience or equivalent combination of design and managerial experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with MiTek, BC Framer, and iStruct software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Software.
