They should be adept at building and leading teams, with a focus on fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and excitement for a shared vision. Experience in academic medicine and a strong network with academic institutions are essential. The role also involves executive responsibilities, including participation in the negotiation and management of physician compensation and contracts.
