As an Fulfillment Center Sorter, you will play a crucial role in the delivery process, ensuring that customer orders are prepared and loaded onto delivery vehicles accurately and efficiently. You will work in a fast-paced environment, receiving and sorting inventory, and preparing it for delivery to customers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Proper labeling and sealing of inventory is essential to prevent damage, tampering, and loss during transit
- Deploy cutting-edge technologies such as smartphones and hand-held devices to streamline, verify, and package orders
- The construction, packaging, categorization, and shipment of pallets and parcels are essential duties
- Lift and transport parcels that weigh 49 lbs or less
- Receive truck deliveries
- Whether you're using a computer program, a smartphone app, or a kiosk at a public facility, the ability to view prompts and instructions on screens is a valuable tool for users of all experience levels
- Be sure to stand up straight, walk with intention, apply pressure, draw nearer, lower yourself down, flex your knees, and extend your reach as you perform your tasks
- Moving items may be made easier by incorporating carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other mobile equipment
- Use stairways to move both upwards and downwards (if accessible)
- Execute work operations at a height of 40 feet on an elevated structure like a mezzanine (where relevant)
