About the position

Responsibilities

  • Source, attract, and recruit interested and qualified candidates at Aviate partner flight schools, universities and Part 135 operators as assigned
  • Plan and attend partner careers fairs, campus and flight line visits, and in-person and virtual interview prep
  • Present the Aviate program, United initiatives, core4 values, and the United brand to large audiences
  • Educate potential candidates and current participants on the Aviate Program and the pathways to reach the United Flight Deck through Aviate
  • Analyze assigned Aviate partner data and strategize with team members to increase interest and applications to the Aviate program
  • Collaborate with team members and management to develop recruiting strategies to assist United in meeting staffing needs and compete with industry trends
  • Interface with Pilot Hiring as appropriate as candidates move through the application and interview process
  • Provide timely correspondence to candidate emails to assist with the application process and answer Aviate program related questions
  • Assist in special projects as assigned
  • Create and update PowerPoint presentations for Aviate partner launches, visits and industry events
  • Attend Aviate partner launches, industry career events, and community recruitment events as assigned

Requirements

  • 2+ years HR experience, including at least 6 months of dedicated recruiting experience
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, highly team-oriented environment
  • Strong communication and ability to build relationships with all levels of personnel required
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer and databases
  • Strong knowledge of social media and demonstrated usage of tools such as LinkedIn
  • Demonstrated good judgment and confidentiality
  • Excellent time management, follow-through and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy and ability to delegate work as needed
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service orientation
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information required
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly assess candidate's skills/qualifications and attributes
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience coordinating and attending career fairs
  • Prior experience in developing and giving presentations to large groups
  • Aviation recruiting experience preferred
  • Knowledge & Experience in using Salesforce
